mobster doctor prints ! Wi-Fi link … is on the network, but the encrypted link isn't up yet for a phone with Wi-Fi on. Mobster for Mac and mobster wifi probe say it as The encrypted link to your iPhone’s name isn't up yet.
Why it happens
Wi-Fi goes through Apple’s encrypted link between this Mac and the phone, the one Xcode uses for Connect via network. A locked or sleeping phone leaves it down.Fix
- Unlock the iPhone and keep it on the same Wi-Fi as this Mac.
- Wait. Mobster brings the link up when it needs it and tries again by itself.
- If it stays down, plug the phone in to use it now, then run
mobster wifi probe.
Check it worked
mobster doctor prints ✓ Wi-Fi link … is reachable over the encrypted Wi-Fi link. The rest of the Wi-Fi messages are in Wi-Fi.
