Run the mobster steps first, in this order. The command lives inside Mobster for Mac, so it goes when the app does. Uninstalling doesn’t cancel a plan or delete your account. Each takes its own step, below.

Take Mobster out of your coding agents

This removes the mobster entry from every client on this Mac, and the skill folders --with-skill copied. Your other servers stay as they are. It prints one line per client, such as Cursor removed ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Add --dry-run to see the change first. There is no separate mobster mcp uninstall. In each project where you added Mobster with --project or --rules, run this from the project’s folder:
It removes the project’s entries (.mcp.json, .cursor/mcp.json, .vscode/mcp.json and the rest), Mobster’s block in AGENTS.md, and .cursor/rules/mobster.mdc. If mobster is already gone, remove the entries by hand. Each one is named mobster: The skill folders are ~/.claude/skills/ios-testing, ~/.codeium/windsurf/skills/ios-testing and ~/.agents/skills/ios-testing. Mobster left a copy of each file it edited beside it, ending in .mobster-backup: delete those too. In Claude Code, /plugin uninstall mobster@mobster removes the Claude Code plugin, and claude mcp remove mobster-docs removes these docs’ search server if you added it.

Stop scheduled runs

In each project where you turned on nightly runs:
It removes that project’s LaunchAgent, ~/Library/LaunchAgents/dev.mobster.nightly.<project>.plist. Turn off Open at login in Settings › General. It removes ~/Library/LaunchAgents/Mobster.plist. If the app is already gone, delete that file.

Delete Mobster’s simulators

It shuts down and deletes every simulator Mobster created, the ones named Mobster · …. Your own simulators stay.

Quit and delete the app

Quit Mobster with ⌘Q. Closing its window leaves it running. If you installed it with Homebrew:
--zap also deletes the data folders in Delete Mobster’s data. Without Homebrew, drag Mobster.app from Applications to the Trash. Then remove the mobster link, and the PATH line if you added it for Mobster only:
The line is export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH" in ~/.zshrc.

Remove Mobster’s Keychain items

Open Keychain Access, search for mobster, select the items and delete them. Or, in a terminal:
macOS may ask for your login password. The items are:

Delete Mobster’s data

app.mobster.desktop holds your conversations, history, memory, settings, profiles, workflows, the queue, logs and the WebDriverAgent builds. Once you delete it, Mobster can’t bring them back. These stay unless you delete them:
  • ~/.config/mobster, if you made an env file there for your key.
  • ~/Mobster/Projects, the repositories you cloned from Projects. They are your code.
  • .mobster in each of your projects: your checks, fixtures, workflows and runs.

Remove the helper from your iPhone

  1. On the iPhone, touch and hold WebDriverAgentRunner-Runner, tap Remove App, then Delete App. This is Mobster’s helper.
  2. To turn Developer Mode off, open Settings › Privacy & Security › Developer Mode, turn it off, and restart. Leave it on if you build apps on this iPhone with Xcode.
  3. To make the iPhone forget this Mac, open Settings › General › Transfer or Reset iPhone › Reset › Reset Location & Privacy. This also resets every app’s location and privacy permissions.
Before you delete the app, Forget this device… on the Devices page removes the iPhone from Mobster on the Mac. It changes nothing on the phone.
