# Could not connect to lockdownd: Pairing dialog response pending (-19)

> Your iPhone is waiting for you to tap Trust. Unlock it, tap Trust and enter your passcode.

You see this: libimobiledevice prints `ERROR: Could not connect to lockdownd: Pairing dialog response pending (-19)` when Mobster talks to a phone this Mac hasn't paired with yet.

## Why it happens

The iPhone showed **Trust This Computer?** and nobody answered it, or the phone is locked so it can't show it. Mobster never taps Trust for you.

## Fix

1. Unlock the iPhone.
2. Tap **Trust** on the prompt, then enter your passcode.
3. If you tapped **Don't Trust**, unplug the phone and plug it in again so it asks again.
4. Choose **Check again** in Mobster for Mac, or run `mobster doctor`.

## Check it worked

`idevice_id -l` prints the phone's UDID once this Mac sees it, and `mobster doctor` stops printing `! USB iPhone … connected but not trusted`.
